Welcome to CraftNest Studio! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, workshop bookings, and related services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for workshops, purchasing materials, or using any services provided by CraftNest Studio, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our services.
2. Workshop Registration and Bookings
2.1 Booking Process
All workshop registrations must be completed through our official website or authorized booking channels. Once you submit a registration form and payment is confirmed, you will receive a confirmation email with workshop details, date, time, location, and any pre-class preparation instructions.
2.2 Age Requirements
Participants must be at least 16 years old to attend workshops independently. Participants aged 13-15 may attend with adult supervision. Some specialized workshops may have different age restrictions, which will be clearly stated in the workshop description.
2.3 Class Capacity
Each workshop has a maximum capacity to ensure quality instruction and individual attention. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We reserve the right to cancel workshops that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements, in which case full refunds will be issued.
3. Payment Terms
3.1 Pricing
All prices are listed in USD and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Workshop fees typically include:
- Instruction from experienced craft professionals
- All necessary materials and tools for the workshop project
- Light refreshments (water, coffee, tea, and snacks)
- Access to studio facilities during workshop hours
- Take-home items created during the session
3.2 Payment Methods
We accept payments via major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), debit cards, PayPal, and other payment methods as displayed during checkout. Payment must be completed in full at the time of registration unless alternative arrangements have been pre-approved in writing.
3.3 Private Sessions and Group Bookings
Private workshops and group bookings (5+ participants) require a 50% deposit at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 7 days prior to the scheduled workshop date. Custom workshop requests will be quoted individually and may require different payment terms.
4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
4.1 Participant Cancellations
If you need to cancel your workshop registration, please refer to our Refund Policy for detailed information about eligibility and timelines. Generally:
- Cancellations made 14+ days before the workshop: Full refund minus processing fee
- Cancellations made 7-13 days before: 50% refund or credit toward future workshop
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before: No refund, but may transfer to another participant
4.2 Studio-Initiated Cancellations
In rare cases, we may need to cancel or reschedule workshops due to instructor illness, insufficient enrollment, facility issues, or unforeseen circumstances. In such events, participants will receive full refunds or the option to transfer their registration to another available workshop date.
5. Workshop Conduct and Studio Rules
5.1 Attendance and Punctuality
Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled workshop start time to allow for check-in and setup. Late arrivals may miss important instructions and safety briefings. We cannot guarantee makeup instruction for participants who arrive late.
5.2 Behavior and Safety
All participants must:
- Follow instructor guidance and safety protocols at all times
- Respect fellow participants, instructors, and studio property
- Use tools and materials responsibly and as instructed
- Report any injuries or safety concerns immediately
- Refrain from disruptive behavior or language
CraftNest Studio reserves the right to remove any participant who violates these conduct rules without refund or compensation.
5.3 Health and Safety
Participants with allergies, medical conditions, or physical limitations should inform us prior to the workshop. Some materials (such as certain adhesives, dyes, or fabrics) may contain allergens. While we make every effort to accommodate special needs, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Workshop Content
All workshop curricula, instructional materials, patterns, templates, and techniques taught at CraftNest Studio are the intellectual property of CraftNest Studio or our instructors. Participants may use learned techniques for personal projects but may not reproduce or sell workshop materials without written permission.
6.2 Photography and Media
By attending workshops, participants consent to being photographed or recorded for promotional purposes, including use on our website, social media, and marketing materials. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform staff upon arrival.
7. Limitation of Liability
CraftNest Studio, its owners, instructors, and staff are not liable for:
- Personal injuries sustained during workshops, except in cases of gross negligence
- Loss or damage to personal belongings brought into the studio
- Dissatisfaction with finished projects due to participant skill level or effort
- Allergic reactions to materials, provided proper disclosure was made
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from service use
8. Materials and Supplies
8.1 Provided Materials
Unless otherwise specified, all materials and tools necessary for workshop projects are included in the registration fee. Participants are welcome to bring personal tools or materials but must use studio-provided items for safety and instructional consistency.
8.2 Additional Purchases
Optional materials, kits, or supplies may be available for purchase at the studio. Prices will be clearly displayed and are separate from workshop fees.
9. Gift Certificates and Promotional Codes
Gift certificates and promotional codes must be redeemed within their validity period (typically 12 months from issue date unless otherwise stated). They are non-refundable, non-transferable for cash value, and cannot be combined with other offers unless explicitly permitted.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Personal information collected during registration is used solely for workshop administration, communication, and service improvement. 11. Modifications to Terms
CraftNest Studio reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Oakland, California, except where prohibited by law. Both parties waive the right to trial by jury.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to reflect the parties' intent to the maximum extent permitted by law.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CraftNest Studio regarding use of our services and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
